Vic of Blogger Unleashed does not mince his words when it comes to topics like blogging for money and blogging for fame. Vic is short for Victor, I guess. And when this guy writes "the truth hurts, so be ready!" Well, that's what his blog is all about and there's more to come if you hook up to his site.
This guy has been into computing and has hung around the Internet scene longer than you and I. Way back, he had his first computer - a Commodore 64 - which his mom bought for him. Since then, he's been there and done it - black hat, white hat, running multiple corporations, came back from a nervous breakdown, you name it. That says a lot about his Net pedigree if you wanna call it that.
There's more about Vic at his "About" if you visit Blogger Unleashed. It makes for an interesting read. Vic entered the world of blogging with his first blog, Bu.bulicio.us, which he started on Jan 17, 2007.
He's The BZ Guy With A Blogging Passion
I came to know more about Vic when Blogging Zoom was launched in late October. That's when I started to notice that this guy knows his stuff inside out. Vic and his buddy Courtney Tuttle started BZ with a bang and they have not looked back since.
But honest to goodness, Vic comes across as a guy who calls a spade a spade. From what I have read at Blogger Unleashed, most of his posts revealed his insatiable passion for blogging and his willingness to help other bloggers overcome their handicaps.
Like I said earlier, he doen't minced his words and if some people think his language and some of the words he uses are a wee bit too salty and spicy, then I'm sorry you'll be missing a lot if you avoid Vic's blog. Truth be told, this blog is worth your regular read because there's so much home truths about blogging in his writing.
Since launching Blogger Unleashed and apart from looking after Blogging Zoom, I can see that Vic has been unstoppable in his blogging. He has been coming out with post after post, and I can see his fans growing by the number of comments at every posting.
Vic's Mentor Program
Vic has a "Mentor Program" whereby he is offering to help bloggers improve on their sites. All he is requesting is the following: If you want me to help you, you will write a review about Blogger Unleashed in which you will help spread the word of what we are trying to do here. Spread the truth of how to make money online. You will also mention one thing you have learned and how you have applied it on your blog."
If Vic keeps on rolling out post after post, there'll be a lot to learn from him with his experience and insights on blogging. Well, there's one thing I didn't do after reading his post about why Entrecard sucks. I didn't sign up.
What you can read at Blogger Unleashed
Here are some of the best juicy topics he wrote recently:
Blogging For Money Or Not
Entrecard Sucks And There Is No Doubt
Opinions Are Like Assholes Everyone Has One (my favourite)
How To Get Google Juice
Start A Blog About Ants
Bloggers Are Self-Centered Bitches
Why Blogger Unleashed?
Well, there are a number of reasons why Vic started this blog. But the main reason, I think, is that Vic is an outspoken guy. Unpretentious and no bullshit.
When he sees hypocrisy and half-baked advice given by so-called A-list bloggers it gets his goat. So he has to have his say. According to him, he had left comments at some of these blogs but only to see them get deleted.
What better way to have your say without being censored than to say it on your own blog. So that's how Blogger Unleashed was born. (Vic, I hope I got it right? Otherwise, you can give me shit!)
Good Looks, But Don't Bring Your Mom-in-Law!
Vic's blog is a neat-looking site with a structured layout that makes it easy to navigate. The dominantly bluish header with a "super hero" cartoon figure and a wonderful quote from Steve Jobs of Apple Computer will make sure you don't miss it. There's a nice touch to the whole site. Definitely, I will put this down as good design.
If you like to read a blogger who pulls no punches and says it like it is, you won't find BU wanting. It's truly a blog about blogging and how to make money online the Vic way. But please don't bring your mother-in-law along!
